Tamika Catchings Interview | 2016 June
One of the greatest WNBA players in the history of the league announced she would retire at the conclusion of the 2016 season. That player is Indiana Fever star Tamika Catchings. Catchings is a 10x All-star, WNBA champion, a league MVP, and a 5 time defensive player of the year award winner. She is also the only player in league history to rank top ten in all major statistical categories.
When she is off the court Tamika is very instrumental in the lives of the youth. She has a passion for giving back to the community and has started the "Catch The Stars' Foundation. Helping give back to the youth and pushing them to chase their dreams. We caught up with Tamika Catchings following her "Legacy Tour" in Chicago at the conclusion of the Fever's victory over the Sky. During her legacy tour she helped raise money for the foundation with a silent auction. She has also donated 2,000 to local charities in each city. She is making 12 tour stops throughout the season and 12 X 2,000 = 24,000. 24 is the number she wears and there is no doubt her legacy will continue to live on through the next generation of WNBA stars.
In this exclusive interview we spoke with Tamika about: Her foundation, giving back to the community, her historic WNBA career, playing for Coach Summitt, and much more! Check it out!
